By accessing or using Korrige ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Korrige.

2. Description of Service

Korrige is an AI-powered platform designed to assist educators with document analysis and automated essay correction. The Service provides feedback, scoring, and suggestions on student-submitted work based on predefined or custom rubrics.

Future Features: We reserve the right to expand our service offerings to include additional features such as plagiarism detection, fact-checking, document classification, and other educational tools. New features may be subject to additional terms or pricing.

3. Intended Use and Limitations

Indicative Use Only: Korrige is designed to be a supportive tool for educators. The AI-generated corrections, feedback, and scores are provided for reference and guidance purposes only.

Does Not Replace Professional Judgment: Under no circumstances does Korrige replace the professional judgment, expertise, or authority of teachers, professors, or educational institutions. All AI-generated content must be reviewed, verified, and validated by qualified educators before being shared with students or used for grading decisions.

Target Audience: The Service is intended for use by educators, teachers, professors, and educational professionals. Users must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.

4. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these terms, misuse of the Service, or any other reason we deem appropriate to protect the integrity of our platform.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

• Using the Service to process content that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Submitting content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
• Using the Service to generate content for cheating, academic dishonesty, or plagiarism

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the documents, essays, and content you submit to the Service. Korrige does not claim any ownership over your submitted materials. We only process your content to provide the correction services you request.

Service Content: The Korrige platform, including its software, algorithms, interfaces, logos, and branding, is the property of Korrige and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Feedback: Any suggestions or feedback you provide about the Service may be used by Korrige without obligation or compensation to you.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and AI Limitations

As-Is Service:The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer: The corrections, feedback, and scores generated by our AI system are created using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. While we strive for accuracy, the AI may:

• Produce incorrect, incomplete, or misleading feedback
• Miss important nuances, context, or subtleties in student work
• Generate inconsistent or inappropriate suggestions
• Fail to recognize certain writing styles, cultural references, or specialized content

You acknowledge and agree that Korrige is not responsible for any AI-generated content. It is your responsibility as an educator to review, verify, and validate all AI output before using it for educational purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Korrige and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated corrections or feedback
• Academic, professional, or reputational consequences of using the Service
• Loss of data, documents, or content submitted to the platform
• Service interruptions, errors, or technical failures

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or CAD $100, whichever is greater.

9. Pricing and Subscriptions

Current Pricing: During our beta phase, the Service offers limited free usage. Additional usage may require a paid subscription in the future.

Future Subscriptions: We reserve the right to introduce monthly or annual subscription plans at any time. When subscriptions are introduced:

• Pricing will be clearly displayed before purchase
• Subscriptions will auto-renew unless cancelled
• You may cancel at any time, with access continuing until the end of the billing period
• Refunds will be handled according to our refund policy in effect at the time of purchase

We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be revoked
• Your documents and data will be subject to our data retention policy as described in the Privacy Policy
• Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these terms or misuse of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec, Canada.
